AFTER THE FIASCO OF THE 2012 LONDON OLYMPIC LOGO - £400,000 COST, AND A YEAR TO DESIGN (any art student could have done better for a tenner, and in a week) WE HAD THE REPORT THAT ANOTHER £400,000 WAS GOING TO BE HANDED OVER TO THE EX CHAIRMAN OF THE OLYMPIC DELIVERY AUTHORITY BY WAY OF CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENTS/COMPENSATION/LOSS OF OFFICE OR PAY OFF,CALL IT WHAT YOU LIKE,  EVEN THOUGH HE WALKED OUT OF THE JOB CLAIMING THE 2012 LONDON OLYMPICS WOULD NOT BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE TIME SCALE, OR WITHIN BUDGET AND HE WANTED NOTHING FURTHER TO DO WITH IT. (this was well before the rest of us nobodies were informed that the budget had risen to £9.3 billion - so he obviously knew what he was talking about.       Presumably he was employed because those dishing out the jobs thought that he was the best man for the job - and yet when he walked out they attempted to discredit him - because he'd let the cat out of the bag !).

SO, £800,000 SPENT ON THESE TWO ITEMS ALONE WITH ONLY THE OLYMPIC LOGO TO SHOW FOR IT (with goodness knows how much extra to make the Logo advert more TV friendly and less dangerous for some viewers - perhaps these changes will be done for nothing being as £400,000 appears to be a pretty high price to most people for this jig saw looking logo - except, of course, to those giving our money away,  and those receiving it).

AND NOW WE COME TO SOME MORE "MONEY NO OBJECT" JOBS ADVERTISED BY THE OLYMPIC DELIVERY AUTHORITY JUST RECENTLY.       THEIR TITLE -  "EQUALITY AND INCLUSION" MANAGERS. 

IT IS REPORTED THAT 10 SENIOR EQUALITY EXECUTIVES WILL BE EMPLOYED AT SALARIES IN EXCESS OF £100,000 PER ANNUM - PLUS - BONUS.   (At the moment the "extras" such as Pension costs, expenses, car, mortgage etc are not known)>    

THERE WILL BE A "HEAD OF EQUALITY AND INCLUSION" - A "DEPUTY HEAD OF EQUALITY AND INCLUSION" - AN " EQUALITY MONITORING AND RESEARCH MANAGER " - " AN EQUALITY AND INCLUSION MANAGER (Audit and Support)" AND AN "EQUALITY AND INCLUSION MANAGER (Impact and Engagement)".

OBVIOUSLY THESE APPOINTEES WILL NEED STAFF TO RUN THEIR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS AND A "SPOKEMAN" IS REPORTED AS SAYING (Quote) " we do not know what the budget for the Equality Team will be until we have recruted its staff" (Unquote)

SO NOW WE HAVE YET ANOTHER UNKNOWN BUDGET IN THE LONDON OLYMPIC GAMES (with 10 Chiefs at £100,000 per annum, plus an unknown number of well paid underlings still to be recruited and paid for, plus their office accommodation and equipment- for the next 5 years).      DO YOU THINK THAT THESE COSTS WERE INCLUDED IN THE PLAN SUBMITTED TO THE IOC IN 2004 ?    IF THEY WERE DO YOU KNOW ANY LONDONERS THAT WERE AWARE OF THEM - OR ANY LONDON MP's.?
